Students and alumni of Juilliard Dance, passionate to share a wealth of knowledge and education with the next wave of dance enthusiasts.

At Contemporary Dance Lab, we are dedicated to bridging the gap between accomplished dancers and aspiring talent. Our dynamic platform fosters an enriching environment where dancers can connect, learn, and thrive in the world of concert contemporary dance. We empower young dancers by providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to pursue successful careers in this vibrant art form. Through our specialized Dance Labs, we offer invaluable insights and training designed to support pre-professionals and young dancers on their journey to artistic fulfillment.

Michaella Ho

Michaella Ho (she/her) is from Toronto, Canada and began her training with Academy of Ballet and Jazz, School of Canadian Ballet Theatre under the direction of Nadia Veselova-Tencer. She continued her training with Erin Forrest at Forrest Academy of Ballet NY. She attended summer programs with Nederlands Dans Theatre, Arts Umbrella, Alvin Ailey Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Ellison Ballet. At the Juilliard School, she performed works by Emilie Leriche, Omar Roman De Jesus, Sonya Tayeh, Donald McKayle, Medhi Walerski, and Jamar Roberts, amongst others. Michaella participated in the Barnard-Columbia-Juilliard Exchange in her 2nd, 3rd and 4th year. Michaella has recently performed in Sharon Eyal and Gai Beher's production of R.O.S.E. at the Park Avenue Armory alongside L-E-V. Michaella is currently dancing with Dance Aspen for their winter 24/25 season. She is the founder of Contemporary Dance Lab, an educational contemporary dance initiative for pre-professional dancers.

Briana Del Mundo

Of Filipino descent, Briana Del Mundo (she/her) is a native of Calgary, Canada. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at the Juilliard School and soon after joined Ballet BC as an Emerging Artist under the direction of Medhi Walerski for their 2023/24 season. During her collegiate years, she performed works by Ohad Naharin, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, and Jermaine Spivey and Spenser Theberge. Beyond school, her tenure with Ballet BC brought her to explore and perform works by Johan Inger, William Forsythe, Imre & Marne van Opstal, Shahar Binyamini, Crystal Pite, and David Raymond and Tiffany Tregarthen of Out Innerspace. Now based in New York, Briana joined GALLIM Dance under the direction of Andrea Miller, where she has done Miller's works for their Fall For Dance, Joyce, and touring season. Briana also developed an interest in fashion during her time at Juilliard, where she worked as a co-stylist and collaborated through movement direction with Brooklyn-based fashion designer, Delfina Balda.

Flora Ferguson

Flora Ferguson, a native of Ontario, Canada, studied at Cawthra Park Secondary School, and continued her training during summers at Canada’s National Ballet School, Pro Arte Danza, and Springboard Danse Montreal. Flora is a graduate from the Juilliard School, and upon graduation was awarded the Juilliard Career Advancement Fellowship, for her artistic exploration and promise. Flora has performed works by Pina Bausch, Trisha Brown, Ohad Naharin, Spenser Theberge and Jermaine Maurice Spivey, and has also learned work by, Crystal Pite, Martha Graham, and Kyle Abraham. Flora debuted in the Metropolitan Opera’s Tannhäuser, which is featured in the New York Times’ “Critic’s Picks” for 2023 She premiered in “The Hours” with choreography by Annie. B Parson, and is currently in “Aida” with choreography by Oleg Glushkov. As a choreographer, Flora’s work was shown throughout her time at Juilliard, and she had world premieres of her works, featured in Juilliard’s Choreographers and Composers, and Juilliard’s Senior Production. Flora was also a collaborator and performer with John Heginbotham and Joshua Roman for the “Immunity Project” series at The Chelsea Factory in February 2024. Flora’s curiosities lie in the communication between the work she creates and the space it presents in, and she strives to blend the gap between theatrical storytelling, and movement.

Joey Gertin

Joey Gertin is a dance artist based in New York City. Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Joey completed his training at Elite Danceworx under the direction of Dawn Rappitt. Currently studying in his final year at The Juilliard School, under the direction of Alicia Graf Mak, Joey received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in the spring of 2024. Through his time at school, Joey has performed works by Ohad Naharin, Rena Butler, Azure Barton, Jamar Roberts, and Medhi Walerski. In June 2022, he attended Springboard Danse Montréal, where he worked with Victor Quijada and Ethan Colangelo. In the Fall of 2022, Joey was selected to collaborate with a composer and create an original piece of choreography on three dancers for Juilliard’s Choreographers and Composers program. Joey is currently dancing with Netherlands Dans Theatre II. Joey’s hunger to create and be led by generous, curious artists continues to grow tremendously.

Scott Autry

Scott is a 2022 graduate of The Juilliard School and an Artistic Associate with the Gibney Company from 2022 to 2023. He has been able to share the work of choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar, Bobbi Jene Smith, Aszure Barton, Johan Inger and Lea Ved. He was selected as the 2022 Juilliard Choreographic Fellow for the inaugural collaboration between LaGuardia Dance and Juilliard Dance and was honored to receive the Héctor Zaraspe Prize from the Juilliard Dance Department for demonstrating outstanding talent and development as a choreographer. Autry recently created “a space to see” choreographic residency as his Moving Towards Justice fellowship project to support young, queer creators develop deeper roots in their own artistic voice. He is a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
